ST. GEORGE -A 25-year-old Washington County man was taken to the hospital in fair condition after the semi-truck he was driving blew a tire, fishtailed and made one complete roll before landing upright on the wheels.
Joe Dougherty, spokesman for the Utah Highway Patrol, said it was unusual for a vehicle that blew a tire to roll and lose control the way the semi did, however, the semi, from local Rocky Mountain, was carrying a hopper used to haul cement.
The driver was alert when medical crews arrived. The accident also took out several light on the Exit 8 off ramp.
