ST. GEORGE – A Spanish Fork woman has been missing since Friday and her family members are looking for anyone with information to her whereabouts.

Kim Shields, 34, was last heard from when she sent her husband a text message saying she was coming home. She was leaving her dog grooming business in Lindon. While details are scarce, her sister-in-law Fawn Shields posted a plea on Facebook for anyone with information.

Police have tracked her cell phone to St. George, and also have leads that she might be in the Las Vegas area.

Kim Shields drives a khaki green Hyundai Veracruz with silver lettering advertising “Leader of the Pack” dog grooming, license plate number PACKLDR.

She has two full size poodles with her: Cheeto is caramel-colored and Joe is black.

A 20-year-old employee of the grooming shop also appears to be missing, according to Fawn Shields, and may be involved.

Spanish Fork Detective Duane Brunson said officers are researching all scenarios, including that Kim Shields could be with the 20-year-old man who does not have a vehicle or a cell phone, and has also not be seen since Friday. However, Brunson said he has not uncovered any evidence that Kim Shields and the man had any type of relationship other than an employee and employer relationship.

The man is from the Pleasant Grove area, Brunson said. Brunson did not release the name of the man or whether his family has chosen to file a missing person report.

Brunson said his biggest concern is that Kim Shields is on medications that she does not appear to have with her, and that she may be suicidal, he said.
