IVINS – Country music recording artist Harold Allen is pleased to announce one of the biggest shows of his career, opening for LeAnn Rimes at Tuacahn Center for the Arts in Ivins, on August 11.

This special performance support’s the release of Allen’s latest CD, “Country Love.” Allen was last seen at the Tuacahn Amphitheater when he opened for Kellie Pickler.

Allen’s band, “The Bonfire Choir,” will consist of long-time friends Dr. Bryan Powell, Edd Lewis and Rob Rokicki. They’ll be playing songs from the new album and never-before heard Harold Allen originals.

“Its a huge honor for me to be opening for LeAnn Rimes. I’ve been a fan of hers since ‘Blue first hit the scene,” Allen said. “I’ve admired the choices that she’s made musically and how she always presents herself with poise and grace. She’s a true class act and I feel like its a dream come true to share the same stage.”

Country Love is Allen’s second album since stepping out on his own. He grew up loving the greats like Waylon, Willie, Chris LeDoux and George Strait. He also liked the direction country music took with people like Garth Brooks and Big and Rich. With songs like “Hold Me Now” and “Your North Star,” you can hear his ties to the artists that inspired Allen and also experience the artistry of a new voice in American music.

Allen has spent years traveling the country, spreading his particular brand of Midwestern influenced country music. He blends the styles of the old greats with the new direction that country music is heading, including southern rock and blues influences. He has opened for people like Justin Haigh, Jarrod Birmingham and Kellie Pickler. This September, he is slated to record a live concert album in New York City.
