ZION NATIONAL PARK – On July 19, two male climbers became stranded on a ledge for the night while climbing Angels Landing.
David Eaker, public relations officer for the National Park Service, said “there was an injury, it wasn’t a major injury, and they couldn’t get down.”
“It was an overnight thing, it happened last night and they couldn’t get to them until this morning.”
The Park’s Law Enforcement Dispatch office indicated that the rescue was completed around 3 p.m.
The dispatch office also confirmed that the injuries were not life threatening, and confirmed that the men were climbers not visitors following the public pathway to the top.
