VIRGIN RIVER GORGE, Ariz. – One male was lifeflighted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas and three others were transported by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center after their vehicle rolled on Interstate 15 this afternoon.

Sgt. John Bottoms with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said the group of friends and family were traveling from California to attend a church service project when their vehicle rolled in The Gorge. Bottoms said the left rear tire blew and the driver reacted, losing control of the Ford Bronco and hitting a guardrail. All four occupants of the Bronco were ejected when the vehicle rolled.

Bottoms said their final destination is unknown, but they were traveling through the area and from California. He said names of the accident victims could not be released at this time. Bottoms added he expected all of them to be admitted to the hospital due to the seriousness of their injuries.
