ST. GEORGE –Celebrate St. George’s rich artistic heritage and its continuing artistic character by enjoying the spring Art On Main gallery walk Friday, March 9, from 6-9 p.m.
See beautiful works of art by influential painters such as Wallace Lee, Farrell Collett and Gaell Lindstrom at the St. George Art Museum; then travel down Main Street to meet modern pioneers of art in St. George, including painters Roland Lee, Craig Fetzer, Mary J. Grow, Michael Bedard and Karen March, ceramist Stephen Craig Kent, and sculptor John Welch. Visit GOGO37 Gallery to see a group show, including new works by painters Jeff Ham and Reese Thompson and Photographer Nick Adams. While enjoying the fine art, take in music provided by local groups such as The Five Strings, West Coast Jazz, and Jeff Lawrence.
To participate in the event, begin your stroll at the Art Museum, located at 48 East 200 North.
Admission to the museum is waived for the evening. Make sure to pick up a free punch card at the Art Museum to be marked at each gallery attended. Then visit each of nine fine art destinations, enjoying a variety of live music, unique artwork, and the opportunity to meet many local professional artists. Turn in the punch card at Twenty-Five Main Café before 9 p.m., where a drawing will be held for the piece of artwork.
Participating galleries include Bedard Fine Art, Authentique Gallery, Split Rock Gallery, Twiggs and Moore Gallery, The Mission Gallery, A Blue Sky Gallery located inside Print It, Wide Angle Photography, Sunset Frame and Gallery, and GOGO37 Gallery.
