HURRICANE – A St. George man working under a pickup truck raised on a forklift received serious head injuries Friday after the truck slipped, pinning the man’s head between a leg of the forklift and the vehicle.

A co-worker used another forklift to raise the fallen end of the truck so the 33-year-old man’s head could be released. Officers responding to the scene said the victim was alert, conscious, talking and joking with medical personnel as they transported him to Dixie Regional Medical Center.

The accident occurred around 9:40 a.m. at a business located on Industrial Drive near Purgatory Correctional Facility.

I was fortunate to obtain photos which have raised the eyebrows of individuals who will be assisting in an investigation. It’s absolutely amazing how laxed this shop is while preparing “salvaged title” vehicles for an auto dealer in Hurricane, Utah.

For the record I have been been buying vehicles from this laxed “salvage repair” shop for the the past 8 years I have purchased 8 vehicles from them, my family members have purchased an additional 7. They have been great to work with and always provided me and my family with quality cars at prices your not upside down in after it leaves the lot and have always tried to help fix any problem after the sale no matter how big or small, try getting that from your unlax “BIG DEALERS” in the area I did the first two cars I bought and all I got was the joy of writing $1500- $3800 checks to “get out of them”. Keep up the good work guys, having a possitive attidude and being lax are two differnt things which some people in this community havent figured out yet!!
