NEW YORK – The Utah Jazz did not have the ping pong balls fall in their favor last night. As of today, they do not have a first-round draft pick in this year’s NBA draft.

The Jazz would have owned the Warriors pick if the Warriors were to pick anywhere from eight or higher.

The Warriors will have the seventh pick in the draft and the Jazz will have to go without unless the Jazz front office decides to make a trade.

The Jazz weren’t the only big losers on draft lottery night–the Nets and Bobcats also lost big.

The Nets would have had the sixth pick but lost it to the Blazers because the pick was only top three protected. So like the Jazz the Nets do not have a first round pick.

The Bobcats just finished off the worst season in NBA history, winning only seven games and were the favorite to have the top pick in the draft. The Bobcats fell to the second pick with the Hornets taking the top spot.

The Hornets will have the two picks in the top 10 in the draft.

If the Jazz don’t make any trades they will have the 47th pick in the draft.

The NBA draft is Thursday, June 28, in Newark, N.J.
