MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. – A Washington City man was killed and his wife was air-lifted to Las Vegas after a motorcycle accident on the Arizona stretch of southbound Interstate 15 Saturday.
Arizona Highway Patrol Sgt. John Bottoms said Kevin Page, 57, and Pamela Page, 54, both of Washington City, were motorcycle riding with family and friends around 11:30 a.m. when the accident occurred at milepost 13.5, nearly five miles south of the Cedar Pocket rest area.
From witness statements, Bottoms said the motorcycle the Pages were riding was in the right lane and crossed over the white line and hit the rumble strips. The motorcycle began to vibrate violently and Kevin Page lost control and hit the guard rail alongside the roadway.
Kevin Page was pronounced dead at the scene, while Pamela Page was transported via medical helicopter to University Hospital in Las Vegas.
Bottoms said AHP is still investigating the scene, but have determined that neither speed nor alcohol were involved in the incident.
Family members have been informed of the accident, Bottoms said, allowing for the release of the victims’ names early on.
The accident closed down the right lane of southbound I-15 for a time, and was later reopened after the accident was cleared shortly before 1 p.m.
Jessica Blevins, of St. George, said she was traveling southbound on I-15 when she came across the accident after first responders had arrived.
“I saw a nice shiny black motorcycle laying on the ground and two motorcycle helmets on the ground,” she said. “I saw the helmet first – there were all kinds of cop cars and two helmets the motorcycle (was) in the middle of the right lane that’s why the lane (was) closed.”

Drove by shortly after before they could cover the body. I feel so horrible for his wife. I hope she finds peace. Such a horrible horrible thing. I used to see him riding around town. R.I.P.
My friends and I all passed the accident on our bikes about 30 minutes after. My heart was broken and I felt so terrible. We looked up the news and found out wife survived. We don’t know the page’s but they are both in our family prayers. I hope she recovers quickly. There were 10 of us that passed and we were all deeply effected by the horrific scene. So sad and wish I could do something.
