Hard Hat and Black Tie Affair to benefit Habitat for Humanity

ST. GEORGE – Mark your calendar for the second annual Hard Hat and Black Tie Affair on May 11, presented by Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah.

Join the Friends of Habitat in celebrating 15 years of Habitat for Humanity in Washington County at the Best Western Plus Abbey Inn’s Tuscany Room from 6 to 9 p.m. for an evening of entertainment, fine dining, auctions and fundraising for a great cause.

Auction items include a grandmother clock, photos by Jennifer Colby, a Thomas Kinkade print and platter, jewelry, Color Me Rad gift packages and much more. The event will feature music by R. Brodie Perry from The Stage Door. Formal attire is suggested and hard hats are recommended.

Tickets cost $75 and are available at the Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah Office, Habitat, Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah ReStore or on the Habitat for Humanity of Southwest website. Proceeds from the event will provide funding for supplies for the rehabilitation process of the 19th Habitat home in Washington County.

“Owning our own home has brought a sense of belonging to the children. My family and I are so grateful that Habitat helped us to get a fresh start towards independence,” said Patty Nuttall Dove, proud owner of a Habitat home. “We feel really blessed, this house really made a difference for the kids, they have a place to call home and not move all the time. The kids have really appreciated it, and the home helped them stay out of trouble.”

Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah is a nonprofit ecumenical housing organization that seeks to work in partnership with God and people to build homes, communities and hope.
