WASHINGTON CITY – A vehicle accident occurred near the intersection of Industrial Drive and Washington Fields Road Thursday evening, resulting in one person being transported to the hospital.

Described by the St. George Communications Center as a rollover, the accident was first reported to the dispatch center at 8:37 p.m. First responders were sent to the scene where the vehicle had gone off the side of a bridge and landed on its side.

Ed Kantor, public information officer for the Washington City Police Department, said the driver was the sole occupant in the vehicle and was reportedly uninjured, but was still taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center as a precautionary measure.

Kantor was unable to confirm the cause of the accident.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

you guys are so good at staying on top of these accidents.. thank you so much.. for so many reasons.. one being we can certainly notice an area that has a lot of accidents.. before, we barely heard about any.. so how would we recognize if an area is prone and needs adjusting.. thanks.

While I agree with you about areas that need adjusting, and there are plenty of them, the fact is that the driver is the one who must make adjustments. Until the streets/roads/highway departments get around to making the adjustments, it is us, the driver that has to match their driving to conditions.
