WASHINGTON – A gold Subaru Outback went off Telegraph Road and into a ravine around 10:52 a.m. today when Washington City emergency responders were dispatched.
The SUV, driven by a 36-year-old Erin Ludean Peterson-Cullen, of St. George, turned out of Coral Canyon Boulevard and headed west up the hill on Telegraph, Washington Police Lt. Dennis Bailey said. No other occupants were in the vehicle.
“She got halfway up and veered left – or south – and went down that embankment.”
Perterson-Cullen was transported to the hospital for evaluation but did not appear to suffer any life-threatening injuries, Bailey said.
Washington City Police confirmed Monday that Peterson-Cullen was arrested and booked into the county jail on a class B misdemeanor count of DUI and a class C misdemeanor for improper lane travel.
Bailey said the vehicle is likely a total loss.
Ed. Note: Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
