ST. GEORGE – The Jubilee of Trees is a festive event that takes place every year the week before Thanksgiving. It cannot be done without countless volunteers and hours donated by the community. Jubilee of Trees is a large showcase of custom and prestigiously designed trees that takes place at the Dixie Center St. George.
This event has taken place annually since 1981. In the past years, the Jubilee of Trees has raised money for more advanced neonatal intensive care unit facilities, Life Flight services, and breast cancer. This year is highlighting raising money for Dixie Regional Medical Center to develop from a Trauma III into a Trauma II center.

“Trauma II means that a lot of the cases that are Life Flighted either to Las Vegas or up to Salt Lake will be able to be treated right here at home in Southern Utah,” DRMC Development Officer Tomie Fuller said. “It is not just bringing the physicians here, it is also bringing the support teams, clinical people, and the infrastructure of what is necessary to have those kinds of service areas here at the hospital. “
Jubilee of Trees is the largest fundraising event for Dixie Regional Medical Center and also something that impacts everyone in the St. George and surrounding area.
There are 40 full-sized custom designed trees on showcase that have been donated by residents of Washington County. Those who attend the Jubilee can vote for their favorite tree.
The Kids’ Zone, sponsored by the Lichfield family, includes pictures with Santa, a bubble machine, crafts and many more activities for all kids to enjoy.
The Jubilee is a great opportunity to get in the Christmas spirit and also support Dixie Regional Medical Center to become a Trauma II facility.
The rest of Jubilee of Trees takes place Sunday and Monday. Monday is family fun night from 4-8 p.m. For more information visit jubileeoftrees.org.
