Hatch calls Obama’s budget unfortunate, irresponsible, embarrassingly predictable

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Orrin Hatch, ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, issued the following statement Tuesday in response to the President’s Fiscal Year 2015 Budget that was submitted to Congress:

Today, the President put forward a budget that fails to keep pace with the economic challenges of our time. Rather than create a road map that will lift the ailing economy, spur new job growth and secure higher wages for hard-working families, this budget represents a campaign blueprint designed to drum up the President’s left-wing base during an election year. Its lack of seriousness is unfortunate, irresponsible and embarrassingly predictable.

Instead of embracing fiscal responsibility, this budget increases government spending by $791 billion over the next ten years. Instead of tackling the nation’s sky-high debt – which has already exploded by a whopping $6.8 trillion under this White House – this budget slaps on an additional $8.3 trillion over the next decade and fails to include any substantial reforms to the greatest drivers of our debt – Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. And, instead of promoting pro-growth policies to expand the economy and reduce the deficit, this budget saps American job creators and individuals with more job-killing tax hikes.

A full month late, and the President’s budget recycles the same old spending surges, tax hikes, and budgetary smoke and mirrors that have repeatedly failed to right the nation’s economic ship and provide financial security and prosperity for Americans across the country. It’s no wonder Washington has already dubbed this plan dead on arrival.

“Hatch calls Obama’s budget unfortunate, irresponsible, embarrassingly predictable”
The rest of the world calls on Orrin to retire because he is pathetic and embarrassingly predictable.

I call Hatch redundant, washed up, unimpressive.

It is unfortunate, irresponsible and predictable, but being predictable is not embarrassing. What is embarrassing however, is saying you are a conservative to get elected and then acting like a progressive Republican after you are elected.

The tears of a sobbing Tea Party member never fail to move me. Know that you are not alone in your grief over Hatch’s straying from orthodoxy. Be strong brother, Utah is certain to elect a bigger idiot when Hatch leaves.

I think RICHARD might be happier living in Pakistan tribal region under Sharia law. They’re a little bit more non-progressive. I think he’d be more at home.

Sorry BUB, I’m just a constitutional conservative, not a religious nutjob or a fascist.

Hatch’s legacy will be 35 years of throwing stones at others.

Guys need to share these thoughts with your LDS friends, otherwise they’ll keep voting him in for another 300 years.
