HURRICANE – Hurricane City police officers responded to a report of an attempted burglary at the Hurricane Family Pharmacy early Monday morning only to discover on arrival that the suspects had fled, leaving damage in their wake.
Officers were dispatched at 3:50 a.m. to the pharmacy on a report of a burglary in progress, police Sgt. Brandon Buell said in a statement released Monday.
“Officers arrived on scene,” Buell said, “and found a door that had been broken into a business adjacent to the pharmacy.”
Officers did not find anyone in the pharmacy but did find evidence that someone had attempted to enter it through the next-door business.
“The suspect(s) were unable to make entry into the Pharmacy and minimal damage was done,” Buell said.
