ST. GEORGE—The Huntsman World Senior Games is seeking volunteers for the 2014 Games this October. Individuals are needed to assist with everything from sporting events to refreshments, from shuttle drivers to the gift shop.
Huntsman games CEO Kyle Case said:
Volunteers are the life-blood of the Huntsman World Senior Games, without them the Games could not survive!
A volunteer workforce of over 2,500 men and women is needed to accomplish the lofty goal of providing a memorable experience for the 10,000-plus folks who participate each October.
There are a variety of ways to get involved and make an impact. If you would like to volunteer go to the Huntsman World Senior Games website, and click on the “Volunteer Opportunities” link. If it is your first visit you will be asked to create an account. You will be asked for some basic contact and other information. Once the account has been established or you have logged into your account, you can click on the link to “Add Shifts” which will take you to a page where you can view the volunteer opportunities by date. Choose one or several shifts – whatever fits your schedule.
You may also send an email and our volunteer committee will help you find a good fit.
“We appreciate everyone who has already joined the Games’ volunteer family,” Case said, “and look forward to getting to know those who will join.”

Get them retired old people out there as volunteers. Too many of them act like everyone is supposed to do stuff for them just because they are old and retired. Why can’t the old and retired volunteer free labor for these events serving the old and retired?
