ST. GEORGE — A woman was cited for failure to yield on a left turn Tuesday after she crashed into a Honda passenger car on Bluff Street.
At 12:49 p.m., a woman driving a silver Dodge Dakota was traveling northbound on Bluff Street when she attempted to make left turn onto Airport Road and collided with a Honda passenger car that was traveling southbound on Bluff Street, St. George Police Officer Jamison Hale said.
The right side of the Dodge sustained moderate damage as a result of the crash, while the Honda was totaled and sustained heavy damage to the front end. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
After the collision, the woman driving the Dodge complained of chest pain and self-transported to the hospital. The man driving the Honda had two children riding as passengers in his vehicle; all were unharmed, Hale said.
The woman in the Dodge was cited for failing to yield on a left turn. Both the southbound right turning lane and the northbound left turning lane from Bluff Street onto Airport Road were closed off during cleanup of the accident.
The St. George Police Department, St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance attended to the accident scene.

Accidents are stressful for both parties involved but the automobiles can always be replaced or repaired I’m just glad no one was hurt and hopefully the lady with the chest pains will be okay. And they will all be with their friends and families for this the most of all joyous holidays. Merry Christmas everyone
I just have one question. What don`t people get about Red Lights and Stop Signs in St George. I don`t get it. I was almost hit twice today just driving to my Mothers house three miles away by people failing to yield.
