The justice center supports child victims of abuse, helping provide a intergovernmental response, facilitate the investigation of the alleged offense against the abused child, conduct interviews in a manner to minimize trauma to the child, coordinate and track efforts and seek protection of the child from further abuse.

“Last year alone in Iron County we served 237 child victims of sexual and physical abuse along with 288 secondary victims of abuse,” said Stephanie Furnival, executive director of Iron County Children’s Justice Center

The justice center is opening satellite centers  in Iron County and Kane County so more victims and families can receive services in their community.

The Justice Center has seen the benefit these fundraising events have made and following the race, an open house will be held of the newly added medical room that was made possible by the 2014 fundraising event, “Dancing with your Community Stars”.
