Sutton, Donetta O obit(October 8, 1928 – May 26, 2015)

Donetta Fawcett Sutton, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. She was born October 8, 1928, in Basalt, Idaho, to George William Fawcett and Florence Viola Scarborough. Donetta married Ralph Wayne Sutton on August 30, 1946, in Salt Lake City.  It was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, May 15, 1957.  They were married 56 years.

Donetta was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated wife and daughter. She always wanted a large family not just two; she wanted six children so if one died she would still have plenty to love.

Donetta had eight children, six of who she is survived by: Suzanne (Dennis) Sly, Tooele, Utah, Cindy (Ron) Bolinder, Erda, Utah; William (Rita) Sutton, Dickson, Tennessee; John Sutton, St. George, Utah; Shauna (Matt) Thorne, St. George, Utah; Victor (Venda) Sutton, Twin Falls, Idaho. Donetta will surely be missed by her 19 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, George Donald Fawcett, sons; Timothy Wayne Sutton and David Lee Sutton and a grandson, Timothy Allen Sutton.

She dedicated her life to taking care of her loved ones.  She cared for her parents and her husband’s parents as they needed her.   Her husband had a debilitating stroke at the age of 52 and Donetta cared for him for the next 24 years.  She was a great example of love, hard work and dedication.  Other than her family, she had a great passion for flowers and gardening, music, movies and reading.
