Our beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Jack W. Burt passed away May 28, 2015, in St. George, Utah, at the age of 81. Jack was born on March 25, 1934, in Ogden, Utah, to John and Ethel Burt.

After high school, he served in the U.S. Army from  1954-56 stationed in Germany. He then moved to Alaska, and worked as a fire fighter; Jack enjoyed sharing stories of the many memories of his time in Alaska.

Upon returning to Utah, he attended and graduated from BYU. He began his teaching career at Magna Elementary where he taught for 30 years. Mr. Burt and “Brown Betsy” will never be forgotten. Upon retirement, he moved to St. George where he was an avid golfer and loved playing competitive softball. While living there he met many loyal friends and his wife; Sharon Mills. They loved to travel and had the opportunity to cross many items off of their bucket list.
