ST. GEORGE — The St. George Children’s Museum is partnering with the Huntsman Senior Games to host “Senior Day” Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the museum, 86 S. Main Street, in St. George.

Many senior citizens have the desire to visit the museum; however, they do not have children or grandchildren to accompany them. This is an opportunity for all community members to attend and to imagine, discover and create, regardless of age.

The museum is excited to welcome Huntsman Games participants to join them on that day. All senior-aged community members are also encouraged to attend.

The museum will be collecting stories from veterans to use for its upcoming Veteran’s Day celebration during this time, as well. These stories will be added to those from their fifth grade “My Veteran VIP” celebration participants. Poster showing of the event will be Nov. 11.

About the St. George Children’s Museum

The museum has hosted over 300,000 guests since opening in November 2013. They have had visitors from every state in the United States and from every continent, with the exception of Antarctica. Over 50 hands-on exhibits and activities are showcased within the facility.

The St. George Children’s Museum is located in the heart of downtown St. George and next to the Town Square splash pad. The building is part of the historic district and was home to the original Dixie State College and Dixie High School. Many community members recount fond memories as they tour the facility with their families.
