ST. GEORGE — Can you feel it? Plans are coming together and excitement is building for the second annual “Live United LIVE,” taking place Saturday from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. at Town Square in St. George.
There will be food, charity giveaways and live music. Join British pop icon Howard Jones, Utah’s own country crooner Eric Dodge, the John Houston Gospel Choir, celtic rockers Swagger, and bluegrass favorites Marty Warburton and the Home Girls in this all-day event.
Cherry Creek Radio is holding a ball drop at 6 p.m. for the opportunity to win a free car, an iPad or one of 50 other prizes. Entrance is $5 per ball or $20 for five balls. Watch as up to 2,000 numbered balls are lifted up in a boom truck and then dropped onto the grass area. Where your numbered ball lands will determine what prize you win.
Get your numbered balls today by making a donation at the Live United LIVE website under the “Ball Drop” tab, or stop by the Cherry Creek Radio Studio, 750 Ridgeview Drive in St. George, or Premier Car and Truck, 116 W. St. George Blvd.
You do not have to be present to win, but numbered balls are going fast. All proceeds benefit local charities.
United Way Dixie is taking its outreach and education efforts to a whole new level with “Live United LIVE.” Stop by the festival and learn about the services United Way Dixie provides, then stay for a full day and evening of high-energy music. It’s easy to donate to the wonderful organizations that provide much-needed services to the community — just come hungry and purchase the tasty food and drinks they’ll be offering at the festival.
All sales will be directed to the individual charities.
