ST. GEORGE — Many local nonprofits face fundraising challenges these days, and a workshop offered by the Utah Nonprofits Association Jan. 7 can help.
The association will present the educational workshop “What every fundraiser can do to stop falling donor retention rates” at Dixie Applied Technology College. The workshop will focus on donor recruitment, retention and management.
This session explores the “Fundraising Effectiveness Project” report commissioned by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Urban Project. The dismal news in this report can and should be an eye-opener for every nonprofit engaged in fundraising.
The workshop will focus on the root causes of poor retention rates and offer tips for improvement based on the principles of Adrian Sargeant and Tom Ahern, two world-renowned authorities on building donor loyalty.
Sargeant and Ahern’s principles are based on years of research and can be used by any organization, from a one-person organization to a large department.
Workshop presenter Mitch Peterson will lead discussions and provide examples of the principles in action.
The Utah Nonprofits Association is dedicated to supporting success and sustainability for the nonprofit sector in Southern Utah.

- Learn new donor communication techniques to improve donor loyalty and retention
