Thanks for telling me about yet another untrue Mormon “prophecy”.
Nobody in the 19th or 20th Centuries called it “Washington City.” It is Washington. Check with the post office. Check the history books.
Yeah nothing but more Mormon B.S .
White man come take’em land from tribe. now we live’em brick house. no more make’em teepee. take’em plenty big heap wam pums go buy food grocery store. no more need’em kill buffalo. better life now than long ago. sometime squaw not know when shut’em up
Brigham Young, the man who said the devil is an old black man. Just read The Journal of Discourses!
.
The Mormon apologists say, “Those discourses aren’t scripture! Quit quoting them! Just forget about them.” Or “The scribes made mistakes. The discourses are not accurate.” Etc. etc. BUT both of those claims are not true!
.
Brigham Young and his apostles were personally over the publications and ensured accuracy. AND Brigham Young said that everything he said was scripture from God! Simply Google it!!!
.
Therefore, his words must be from God. Hmmmm.
What about his commandments to cut the heads off of any member who has sex with a black person? (He was definitely racist–removing the right to the priesthood from blacks. Why? Because blacks were children of Cain. Remember the man in Genesis who killed his brother? Yup, another curse! Brigham Young sure seemed to love curses.
He must have been aspiring to be a wizard.
.
Speaking of wizards. Why did Brigham Young put pagan symbols all over the LDS buildings and the Salt Lake City temple?
Look it up!
For example: the inverted pentagram (the star is all over SLC!). Many symbols used in the occult and Freemasonry (Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were Masons). There are many Masonic symbols used even in the Mormon temple ceremony: secret handshakes, aprons, beehives (see in front of St. George temple too!), inverted pentagram (stars), the mystical eye “God’s all-seeing eye”, the compass and square, etc. etc. If Mormons want to be Christian, where are the crosses? No crosses. But t here are occult symbols everywhere! Hmmmm.
.
Conclusion, Brigham Young was not speaking for God! He taught the “blood atonement” doctrine. This has since been denounced by succeeding church presidents and apostles. As well as all his racist statements. See talks given by Spencer W. Kimball and Elder Bruce R. McConkie. Well, my Mormon neighbors, who is right? Which prophet do you believe? They both claimed to speak for God. Or did God change his omniscient mind? Hmmmm. I hope you wake up to see Truth!
.
Read the journal of discourses. There are many more disturbing doctrines which were given by Brigham Young and his apostles about polygamy (a way to keep men from going to prostitutes?, racism, misogyny, and strange stuff!). God bless.
