ST. GEORGE — As part of National Drug Take-Back Day, the St. George Police Department is at Smith’s Food and Drug center on the corner of Bluff and St. George Boulevard until 2 p.m. Saturday. The detectives and officers are allowing people to turn in old, unwanted or unused prescription drugs for disposal.
“We partner with the Southwest Prevention Coalition, which is here in Washington County,” St. George Police Detective Brandon Dunbar said. “We want to get the word out that we do have drop boxes at our local police departments and the Watson Pharmacy at the hospital, so you can drop (your unused prescription drugs) off anytime.”
Disposal of your old medications through this program prevents prescription abuse, accidental poisoning, and environmental poisoning from self-disposal.
The program is no questions asked, Dunbar said, and is done cooperatively with the DEA. Simply drive up and drop off the drugs to the officers.
The St. George Police Department offers this service to the community every 6 months, and anytime at the locations listed below.

May is ,”Take Back the D.E.A.” month. These Authoritarians have used their miss-guided and ll fated war on drugs in an attempt to strip away all Civil and Human liberty’s. In their bid to subjugate the entire population. It is this group and other state and Federal groups that created the drug scourge. If they go away so will the drug epidemic. Still they continue to strip social and public funding sources by the billions. In addition to the trillions given them by Obama they continue to bankrupt all social spending programs, this ,mostly, is state and Federal grants that are commandeered and miss-appropriated. These people will set their own mothers out of their nursing home to bust someone for smoking pot in their attempt to subjugate everyone..We need to stop this pilfering of public funds which are then used against the citizens. They adore the word,”LEGAL” it is the rock they hide their villainous deeds beneath. The world had enough of the Authoritarians when the S.S. goosestepped onto the world stage during the second world war.
Why doesn’t st George news advertise events before they happen instead of after it’s like a slap in the face.
