ST GEORGE — A truck rolled over and came to rest upside down in the middle of the road after colliding with another vehicle at the intersection of Red Cliffs Drive and N. Eastridge Drive Sunday evening.
At approximately 8 p.m., St. George Police were called to the scene of a 2-vehicle collision on Red Cliffs Drive. The collision caused one of the vehicles, a brown Ford F150, to roll over onto its cab.
Airbags deployed in the truck, which was heavily damaged and inoperable. The driver, who appeared to have some injuries, was able to get out of the vehicle.
Three of the four passengers in the other vehicle, a green Nissan Pathfinder, said they were unharmed while one complained of neck pain to a St. George News reporter who was on scene.
The Pathfinder’s front end was damaged and its driver was able to move the vehicle over into an adjacent parking lot after the crash.
In the aftermath of the collision, fluids from the upended truck poured onto the street as emergency crews from St. George Fire swept debris.
As a wrecker pulled the truck over from its inverted position the truck’s windows shattered, sending glass flying. Both vehicles were towed away.
No one at the scene appeared to immediately request medical care from responding emergency personnel.
