Debby McArthur

Debby McArthur, age 70, passed away June 17 in St. George, Utah. She was a loving mother, incredible wife, classy lady, best friend, amazing grandma, wise mentor, trusting confidant, heartfelt lover, faithful caretaker and all around phenomenal woman.

Debby was married to James R. McArthur, her soulmate and best friend. Her legacy will live on through her surviving three children: Tamara Striffler, Jessica Zachman and Clinton Rousseau, as well as her four granddaughters, Madison, Morgan and Makenzie Zachman and Makaela Striffler.

Debby was an energetic entrepreneur, starting over eight successful businesses throughout her lifetime. She had a keen business mind, was a hard worker and had a preserving spirit. She had a passion for life and adventure. She loved traveling abroad with family and friends and loved to learn new skills, from farming and preserving her own meats and vegetables to making her own jewelry in lapidary class.

She was the only woman we know who could drive a semitractor-trailer with the grace and elegance of a lady. She had the heart of an angel and the soul of a saint, always caring for those around her. She was adored by all who knew her.

Funeral services

  • Family and friends will celebrate Debby’s life on June 23 at 10 a.m. in the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, Utah.
