Call for volunteers: Another step to make lives better in Africa

ST. GEORGE Popularly known as the ‘Pearl of Africa’, Uganda is a steadily developing nation in Africa and is a great travel destination. The country is overwhelmed with some of nature’s “big” blessings; such as the largest lake in all of Africa (Lake Victoria) and the tallest mountain range in Africa (The Rwenzori). And being an African country, is it only obvious to find wildlife in abundance in Uganda as well. More than half of the remaining gorillas in the world can be found in the region, along with the famous “Big 5” of the African continent.

Uganda has had its share of dark days, but has come out from the shadows of its past to stand as one of the most energetic, safe, and tourism friendly countries. However, there are still sections and issues in the region that needs to be addressed and to be worked upon.

One of the leading international volunteer placement organizations, Volunteering Solutions, has announced its new set of projects in the capital city of Kampala, Uganda. The location was launched as a volunteering destination on October 8, 2015. This is the eighth new addition under Volunteering Solutions’ fold of destinations in Africa, and 28th overall.

The organization is calling out for international volunteers to take part in these programs and travel to make a difference in the society. For more details on these programs and registration process, you can visit the volunteer Web page.
