Doctors’ Volunteer Clinic hosts UV Splash 5K fundraiser

ST. GEORGE — The Doctors’ Volunteer Clinic of St. George will host this year’s first UV Splash Color Dash 5K on Friday, September 11 starting at 8:30 p.m. The Color Dash donates 50 percent of all proceeds to the Doctors’ Volunteer Clinic, helping them provide healthcare to the communities uninsured with medical, mental health, and dental services.

Runners start the UV Splash Color Dash in the evening in white T-shirts, but by the end, they’ll all be wearing the same colorful glow-in-the-dark uniform. As they traverse the 5K course, they’ll be splashed with UV-colored water. In the nighttime darkness — and under black lights that line the course — the colorful stains will glow, making the cavalcade of runners into a glowing, moving constellation. At the end of the race, each human painting can hang out and replenish in an post dash celebration including a costume contest, prizes and a dance party.

Light up the night in a colorful way with The Doctors’ Volunteer Clinic! Make a huge difference in our city all the while having a blast in glow-in-the-dark attire!
