St. George man named to We Promise Foundation board

VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia – Chartway Federal Credit Union’s charitable arm, the We Promise Foundation whose mission is to put smiles on children’s face by making their dreams come true, announced its 2014–2015 board of directors. Among those named was Mark Widdison, director of dealer lending for the Utah region, and a St. George resident.

Since 1999, Chartway and its We Promise Foundation have raised nearly $6,000,000 to make once-in-a-lifetime dreams come true for children battling life-threatening, debilitating, or chronic illnesses. Most recently, Chartway’s foundation fully funded a $120,000 outdoor play deck at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters featuring playground equipment for children of all abilities, an art area, and umbrella-covered tables designed to help young patients enjoy fresh air and relaxation during their stay.
