The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup truck who was killed after being ejected during a rollover on state Route 18 near milepost 40 in Washington County late Saturday night has been identified as 23-year-old Coy L. Strong, of Enterprise, according to a statement released by the UHP on Monday.

The vehicle left the roadway to the right, overcorrected back to the left, where it left the roadway on the opposite side and rolled over. The male was ejected and sustained fatal injuries, UHP Capt. Quince Bruer told St. George News in an earlier interview.

The man was traveling northbound SR-18 near milepost 40.5 in Washington County slightly before midnight when his truck left the road. Breuer said that the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers are still investigating the cause of the incident, but speed and possible impairment are being investigated as contributors to the rollover, the updated release stated.

This report is based on statements from court records, police or other responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
